Paul G. Hazen, MD and Michael D. Reep, MD hosted 3 hours of Category 1 CME on January 28th, 2012 at Lakewood Country Club from 8 am to 11 am.
The CME entitled "Hidradenitis Suppurativa: An Update on Diagnosis, Pathogenesis and Treatment" was sponsored by Candela Lasers and Elorac Pharmaceuticals and presented by the Hidradenitis Suppurativa Institute and Associates in Dermatology. Dr. Hazen gave a lecture entitled "Diagnosis, Pathogenesis and Treatment of HS". Followed by a lecture by Dr. Reep entitled "Laser Application in the Management of HS". The last lecture was a video showing a few surgeries using the CO2 laser excision and marsupialization procedure.
